Products are usually designed in a way that has an identifiable purpose. They are perfect to deal with a specific issue or just used for one thing. There is a specific product for window cleaning. Salt and bleach are used to take out stains from clothing.

All of these products can be used in different ways. One person whose nickname is secondhandsisters probably had that thought and went to Reddit to ask people “What are some lesser-known secondary uses for an everyday product” and that created a big and very useful thread with people sharing so many products that don’t have to be used just for what they were intended to use? And that created a lot of traffic.
